Youth homelessness is a major issue, often caused by physical or emotional abuse. According to the United States interagency council on homelessness, 17,601 students in Maryland have experienced homelessness (Learn more here).
Homelessness can take a toll on the mental health of the individual, and this can lead to the homeless youth having a disadvantage in school. Everybody deserves a safe place to sleep at night, and that's why ILIA has a mission to help the homeless by using our Baltimore location as a dorm service.
Your donations will be used to research solutions for homelessness and it will also help support our dorm service in Baltimore.
