This is an urgent request!
Sadly a lot of people in America struggle with mental illness, and every 11 minutes an American loses their life to suicide.
Suicide rates have increased by 47% across America for the past couple of years in young adults according to the Center for Disease Control. Also, the pandemic has caused way more people to experience depression and anxiety.
This week at ILIA, we received 12 calls from the Youth Crisis Line. The crisis line is essential to those who struggle with mental illness. We are often there for someone RIGHT when they need it, oftentimes, saving their lives.
That's why, in order to meet this increasing demand for services, I am writing to you asking you to be one of 25 people who can donate $21 before the end of this week to provide one counseling session for the next young suicidal teen who calls us.
Your $21 will help to provide one month's worth of a teen hotline for all those in need.
Can we count on you to act now, so that we can help a suicidal teen tomorrow? If you act right now we will be able to get these teens the help they need.
